New hearing aid works wirelessly with phone, TV, GPS and more
Erichson Hearing Aid Center in Erie, PA is among the first in the United States to offer the Oticon Dual. The revolutionary hearing device is helping users stay better connected to family and friends – and to today’s technologies.
Erie, PA – Erichson Hearing Aid Center is proud to be among the first in the United States to offer a new advanced technology hearing solution that allows patients to take advantage of today’s technologies.
Called Dual, this state-of-the-art hearing device by Oticon can help to restore a more natural listening experience.
How it works
Dual helps people with hearing loss to hear better and understand more spoken words in any listening environment – even in challenging listening environments like restaurants.
With Dual’s spatial sound you can easily identify who is talking, instinctively looking the right way especially when voices or sounds come from different areas of the room.
“Two Dual hearing devices actually ‘talk’ to each other, simulating the way the brain naturally processes sounds coming from different directions,” said Linda Kerner, president of Erichson Hearing Aid Center.
This new hearing solution also allows easy use of both landline and cellular phones. And Dual’s open fit design eliminates feedback, whistling and that annoying “plugged up” feeling many experience with traditional hearing aids.
“Dual makes it possible to have a normal conversation on the phone and listen to the TV from anywhere in the room at a volume that won’t disturb others,” Kerner said.
Go wireless
With a companion device called Streamer, users can wirelessly connect to landline and cell phones, TV systems and other popular personal entertainment systems.
“Simply press a button on the Streamer to receive phone calls in both ears – digitally processed to accommodate the user’s individual hearing loss,” she said.
Sleek and small, the Oticon Dual fits discreetly and almost invisibly behind the ear and can accommodate over 80 percent of hearing losses and a broad range of listening preferences and budgets.
